August 26, 2024: "Show Her The Money" Screening and Power Up Concert & Conference

 
 

The State of Women Institute proudly supported a screening of "Show Her The Money" on Women's Equality Day, August 26, 2024, at The Miracle Theatre in Washington, D.C. This groundbreaking documentary exposes the shocking statistic that less than 2% of venture capital funding goes to women-led startups. The event featured a networking reception, documentary screening, and panel discussion with leading businesswomen and the film's producer, Catherine Gray.

Attendees also had the opportunity to participate in the Power Up Concert & Conference organized by Take The Lead Women. This conference, held on August 25-26, 2024, brought together changemakers and featured inspiring speakers (including our own Anu Bhardwaj), dynamic workshops, and networking opportunities. The State of Women Institute continues to support initiatives that highlight gender disparities in entrepreneurship and investing, while also providing platforms for women's empowerment and leadership development.

March 28, 2023: Web3 Women Nights: Creativity, Curiosity, and NFTs

 
 

The State of Women Institute was excited to support the Web3 Women Nights event in Tulum, Mexico. This innovative gathering combined art and technology, offering attendees a hands-on watercolor painting workshop inspired by the Maya Spirits NFT collection, as well as opportunities to participate in an NFT raffle and learn how to mint their own NFTs.

Open to everyone from seasoned professionals to beginners and children, this event exemplified the kind of initiatives the State of Women Institute is proud to support. By combining creativity with cutting-edge technology, events like these help to demystify complex concepts and empower women and girls to engage with the latest trends in finance and technology.

November 8-10, 2022: Reykjavík Global Forum – Women Leaders

 
 

The State of Women Institute was honored to participate in the 2022 Reykjavík Global Forum, which brought together women leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, and influencers to discuss building a more equal future. The forum, with the theme "Power, Together for Progress," provided a critical opportunity to collectively build on progress, address setbacks, and safeguard gender equality.

Anu Bhardwaj, founder of The State of Women Institute, joined global discussions driven by women political leaders from six continents. The event featured several Icelandic dignitaries and focused on safeguarding gender equality in light of recent challenges. The State of Women Institute remains committed to supporting such initiatives that promote women's leadership and gender equality on a global scale.

October 7-9, 2022: Blockchain on the Beach Barbados

The State of Women Institute was proud to support the empowerment and education of women and girls through cutting edge tech and financial initiatives as special scholars were selected to join a live event—and others joined virtually from around the world—for a unique oceanside gathering all about cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and investing in the next generation of women, girls, and young people.

June 22-24, 2021: Amplifying Her Voice: Stronger Together

In honor of Father's Day, the State of Women Institute organized this summit focusing on men and dads joining the fight for gender equality. The event featured discussions on gender roles, supporting children's gender expression, navigating masculinity, mental health, and the importance of being allies to girls and women.

With 31 sessions and 125 speakers from 36 countries, the summit covered a wide range of topics including blockchain technology, advancing women in the workplace, and perspectives from the Arab world. The State of Women Institute continues to foster inclusive dialogues that promote gender equality and empower women and girls globally.

May 11-13, 2021: Amplifying Her Voice: In Moms We Trust

 
 

Following the success of its flagship event, the State of Women Institute organized this summit focusing on moms in honor of Mother's Day. The event brought together investors, philanthropists, media moguls, and CEOs to discuss the multiple roles women play in their lives and the importance of empowering and accommodating mothers in various sectors.

With 56 sessions and 265 speakers from 46 countries, the summit covered topics including podcasting, investing, careers in the space industry, parenting, mental health, and diversity and inclusion. The State of Women Institute remains committed to creating platforms that highlight the achievements of women and mothers across different fields.

March 8-10, 2021: Amplifying Her Voice: International Women's Day

The State of Women Institute successfully launched its Amplifying Her Voice global virtual summit series with this flagship event, attracting over 1,600 attendees. In honor of International Women's Day, the summit focused on bringing female leaders from around the world to share their successes, reveal their innovations, and discuss their efforts towards achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The event featured 45 sessions with 250 speakers from 91 countries, covering topics such as blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and the global refugee crisis. The State of Women Institute is proud to have created this platform for amplifying women's voices and fostering connections among women leaders worldwide.

June 4, 2019: Krypto for Kids Unveiled at UN Blockchain for Impact Global Summit

The State of Women Institute was proud to support the unveiling of Krypto for Kids at the Blockchain for Impact Global Summit at the United Nations on June 4, 2019. Arya Bhardwaj, co-founder of Krypto for Kids, was the youngest speaker at this prestigious event, which brought together over 400 global nonprofits, world leaders, international diplomats, tech companies, and financial institutions.

This summit, organized by the UN Blockchain Commission for Sustainable Development, provided a significant platform for showcasing innovative approaches to educating the next generation about blockchain and cryptocurrency. The State of Women Institute recognizes the importance of such initiatives in advancing financial literacy and technology education for women and girls globally.

November 2018: Krypto for Kids Launches Blockchain on the Beach

The State of Women Institute proudly supported the launch of Blockchain on the Beach in November 2018, a groundbreaking event that brought blockchain technology and financial literacy to Laguna Beach, California. This initiative, which marked the global launch of Krypto for Kids, aimed to educate children as young as 5 about the intersecting worlds of technology, data, and finance.

Held at the Montage Resort, the event featured hands-on experiences, including teaching children how to create a Bitcoin mining rig by building a computer from scratch. The State of Women Institute recognizes the importance of such initiatives in shaping the future of finance and technology, and is committed to supporting programs that empower women and girls worldwide through education and innovative experiences.
